A Journey Through the Roaring Twenties Revives an Avant-Garde Fragrance House

Cherigan, a brand with roots dating back to the Roaring Twenties, once flourished but faced a decline during the 1930s crisis and World War II. However, thanks to the efforts of Luc and Sophie Gabriel, the masterminds behind The Different Company and Wide Society, Cherigan has been resurrected from its slumber. Seeking to capture the essence of perfumery's golden age, they delved into the rich history of the 1920s, a decade synonymous with creativity and innovation, ultimately leading them to the treasure trove that is Cherigan.

The brand's revival in 2021 centers around a carefully curated range of seven fragrances. Some of these fragrances have been crafted using old formulas that were reworked with modern materials, ensuring compliance with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) guidelines. Additionally, new scents inspired by the Art Deco era have been introduced, fusing the past and the present in a harmonious olfactory symphony.

Cherigan's spirit has always been avant-garde, and today, it reawakens with an unrivaled fervor. The brand's fragrances encapsulate the vivacity and creative emergence of the 1930s, a time when Parisian life was punctuated by lively cafes, spectacular music halls, and fiery dance halls.

Even after a century, Cherigan's effervescent atmosphere continues to transport us to an essential and exhilarating time. These perfumes carry the timeless, joyful, and audacious elegance that echoes the contemporary desire for a life well-lived, embracing the wind of emancipation from a roaring decade.

The brand's commitment to the environment and its historical legacy is evident in its products. Cherigan's perfumes are entirely composed and manufactured in France, exclusively in Extrait de Parfum concentration, boasting up to 99% natural ingredients. These components are primarily sourced from France or Italy and are either recycled or more than 99% recyclable, ensuring sustainability throughout the production process.

Cherigan's resurgence marks a celebration of the brand's glorious past and a leap into a promising future. With its modern vision, respect for heritage, and dedication to environmentally-conscious practices, Cherigan is set to leave an indelible mark on the world of perfumery, just as it did a century ago.
