Voce di Sensi: The Geometry of Emotion

Emotional Geometry - When Scent Becomes Structure

In the ever-evolving landscape of artistic perfumery, new brands appear frequently. Yet only a few attempt to redefine the language of fragrance itself. Voce di Sensi, a young house conceived in Barcelona by artist, tenor, and creative director David Hovhannisyan, enters the scene with an ambition that goes beyond composition: to transform perfume into a multidimensional sensory dialogue.

The name of the brand - Voce di Sensi, The Voice of the Senses - already suggests its philosophical foundation. Rather than treating smell as an isolated phenomenon, the project approaches fragrance as a meeting point where sight, sound, taste, and emotion converge.

At the core of the brand lies the idea of synesthetic integration, the moment when different sensory modalities intertwine and perception becomes holistic. A color may evoke emotion, a sound may awaken memory, and a scent may suddenly reveal an entire inner landscape. In this universe, perfume becomes not merely an accessory but a language - a subtle form of expression capable of translating the invisible architecture of feeling.

Voce di Sensi therefore situates itself somewhere between art, music, and sensory philosophy, creating fragrances that behave less like objects and more like emotional coordinates.

Emotional Geometry
Mapping Perception Through Scent

The house introduces its vision through the Emotional Geometry Collection, a conceptual quartet of fragrances designed to interpret human perception through the metaphor of geometry.

Geometry, in this context, is not mathematical but emotional. It represents structure, balance, direction — the invisible lines through which human perception organizes itself. Each fragrance embodies a particular sensory dimension, offering a different way to experience presence, movement, or memory.

The collection unfolds through four compositions: AXIS, GLINT, FLUX, and SENSA. Individually they form distinct emotional atmospheres; together they compose a system of perception.

GLINT
Light in Motion

With GLINT, perfumer Luz Vaquero translates visual sensation into olfactory form.

The composition opens with bergamot, ginger, and tobacco, a vibrant trio that captures the brilliance of light reflected on surfaces. The heart blends caramel, patchouli, vetiver, and leather, creating contrast and texture, while the base of tonka, vanilla, and musk adds a warm, luminous trail.

GLINT reflects the dimension of aesthetic reflection, suggesting that fragrance can possess qualities often associated with visual art - brightness, structure, and color. Like a fleeting reflection on glass, it appears momentarily yet leaves a lasting impression.

FLUX
The Poetry of Movement

Perfumer Sandra Lucas approaches fragrance as motion with FLUX, a composition that evokes rhythm and spatial awareness.

The opening introduces pink pepper, mandarin, grapefruit, and cedarwood, producing a vibrant and energetic start. The heart - amber, leather, green notes, and musk - unfolds gradually, while the base of sandalwood, vetiver, amber, and white musk sustains the fluidity of the scent.

FLUX is inspired by equilibrioception, the sensory ability that allows the body to perceive balance and movement in space. The fragrance seems to breathe and expand like a wave - constantly evolving yet never losing its center.

AXIS
The Quiet Center of Being

Created by perfumer Beatriz Hidalgo, AXIS represents the internal axis around which perception rotates.

The fragrance opens with the gentle luminosity of mandarin, incense, and ylang, a trio that introduces both clarity and introspection. The heart of sandalwood and tuberose deepens the composition, bringing warmth and softness, while the base - vanilla, jasmine, and musk - anchors the scent in a calm, almost meditative presence.

AXIS explores the concept of interoception, the subtle awareness of one’s internal state. Rather than projecting outward, the fragrance resonates inwardly, like a silent pulse that connects the body to its own rhythm.

SENSA
Memory on Skin

The final fragrance of the quartet, SENSA, created by perfumer Maria Fructuoso, is the most intimate and emotionally nuanced.

The opening combines bergamot, apple, and red berries, offering a delicate brightness. In the heart, pear, plum, and sandalwood introduce softness and depth, while the base - raspberry, jasmine, and musk - creates a lingering, almost nostalgic aura.

SENSA explores chemoreception, the sensory mechanism through which scent and taste evoke emotional memory. The fragrance does not impose itself; instead, it settles gently on the skin, gradually becoming part of the wearer’s personal atmosphere.

The Fifth Dimension of Scent

While AXIS, GLINT, FLUX, and SENSA function as individual fragrances, the conceptual architecture of the collection suggests a deeper possibility.

When these four directions intersect, they generate what Voce di Sensi describes as SYNTONE - a fifth sensory state emerging from the convergence of all perceptions.

In this moment the boundaries between senses dissolve.Sound becomes scent.Emotion becomes structure. And fragrance becomes a form of living resonance.

A New Voice in Niche Perfumery

Voce di Sensi arrives at a moment when artistic perfumery increasingly seeks new languages of expression. Rather than following conventional olfactory narratives, the house proposes a more introspective approach - one where fragrance acts as a bridge between inner awareness and sensory experience.

By weaving together elements of music, visual philosophy, and emotional perception, the project suggests a different way of thinking about perfume: not simply as a smell, but as a geometry of feeling.

The Emotional Geometry Collection thus marks the first step of a broader artistic exploration - one in which the senses speak together, and the invisible architecture of emotion finds its voice.
